Description

An ELV (Extra-Low Voltage) Technician is a professional responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various electronic systems that operate on low voltage levels. Job Responsibilities

    • CCTV (Closed-Circuit Television) systems.
    • Access control systems.
    • Fire alarm systems.
    • Public address systems.
    • Audio-visual systems.
  2. Configuration and Programming: Configure and program ELV systems to ensure proper functionality and integration with other building systems.
  3. Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Conduct regular maintenance checks to ensure the ongoing performance of ELV systems. Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  4. Collaboration: Work closely with other technicians, engineers, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of ELV systems with the overall building infrastructure.
  5. Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of ELV system installations, configurations, and maintenance activities.
  6. Compliance: Ensure that all installations and maintenance activities comply with relevant safety codes, standards, and regulations.
  7. Customer Support: Provide technical support to clients and end-users. Address inquiries, resolve issues, and offer training when necessary.
  8. Upgrades and Enhancements: Stay updated on the latest technologies in ELV systems and recommend upgrades or enhancements to improve system performance and security.
